Moments I Live For. . .

Lately I have been thinking alot about the great things in my life. How I am so blessed with such great family and friends and about the little moments that make my life worth while.

Moments like when Sheldon and I are in the car listening to love songs and we hear Easton in the back seat singing along. And we look at each other and laugh quietly so he won't hear us and keep singing. I think to myself how did I get so lucky to have this sweet baby in my life?

Like when Sheldon gives a lesson in Priest Quorum about mothers and tells me he lost it in the lesson and cried when he talked about the amazing experience of us becoming parents. Seeing me become a mother. How sweet is that?

Like when I get a text message from my amazing father in law telling me how happy he is to have me be part of his sweet family. Could I be more lucky?

Like when I see Easton's face light up when his daddy comes home from work and he wiggles and giggles and gets excited to have Sheldon hold him.

Moments like when I see Sheldon with Easton and I know how lucky Easton is to have such a great daddy!

Like when I dance with Easton and he thinks its the funniest thing.

Like when its late at night and I just put Easton down and my sweetheart and I are both exhausted from the day, he leans over to me in bed and tells me that not only does he love me but he is crazy about me. My saggy parts and all!!

Moments like when my chubs falls asleep in my arms and he is eating in his dreams and I don't want to put him in his bed so I can just stare at him. I could stare at him for hours and think this baby is part of me. I made him!! And he is the most beautiful thing my brown eyes have ever layed eyes on.

Like when Easton does something funny and I laugh, so he laughs and keeps on doing it so we crack up together.

Moments like when Sheldon goes to check on chubs to make sure he is ok and has his blanket on, and he walks back into the bedroom and says: "How is he so cute?"

Like when I'm at my moms house for Sunday dinner and me and my sisters and cute nieces are jamming out to the Saturday's Warriors Cd and teaching Avery some sweet moves. And I think to myself, what would I do without my family?

Moments like when I walk into the bathroom and my sweetheart left a message for me on the mirror.

Like when I look and Sheldon and I still get butterflies and I think what in the world did I do to deserve this amazing man?I don't know what it was but I am sure glad that I did it. What would I do without him?

Moments like when I look at my beautiful mother and pray to my father in heaven that I can become just like her. She is amazing!

Like when I get the excited feeling like before Christmas or going to Disneyland because my sister Mandi is coming in town and I get to hang out with her all week!!

Like when I look at all my gorgeous sisters and hope that I can be a little more like each one of them.

Moments like when, Sheldon and I are at the temple doing sealings and I look into his eyes and am amazed that I get to be with him for ALL TIME AND ETERNITY. Knowing that our family is forever.

Like when I notice a little more of my dad in me.

Moments when I feel my dad wrap his arms around me and I feel his love for me. And I know that I will get to see him again.

Like when I am at church and someones talk speaks to my heart. Little do they know that there talk was made just for me!

Moments when I feel my savior's love for me and am so happy to just be alive.

When my sisters send me funny e-mails and I laugh out loud.

Like when my sweet Easton boy was brought into this world and I was surrounded by people I love and who love me. Feeling so much closer to my sweetheart and feel our love grow even stronger.

Moments like when I read someones sweet comment on my blog and they make my day.

Like when I get together with old friends and it feels like we haven't skipped a beat. And we can reminisce on the good ol' days and laugh at funny stories till we almost pee our pants.

Like when Sheldon gets so excited about something and the cute look he gets on his face. :)

Like when I look into Sheldon's beautiful hazel eyes and think could he be any hotter?

When Sheldon wears my favorite pair of jeans and I can't help but look at how good his buns look in them and how bad I want to jump his bones. Yes that's right I said it I do want to jump his bones!!!

Like when I read someones post and they inspire me to be better. (Niki and Alex you do this ALOT)

Moments like when even though I am not so happy with how my body looks and things hang a little lower than they used to, I am happy to be ME.

I have way too many things to be thankful for and I want you all to know that I LOVE you and am glad that you are a part of me!

My biggest fan

I didn't know that when I became a mother that I would have someone that would look at me with such innocent loving eyes. My sweet chubs thinks I can do no wrong and that I am the funniest person to walk the earth. It makes me feel good that at least he thinks I'm funny. (cause I defiantly think I am funny even if I am the only one laughing at my hilarious jokes.) I love his sweet giggles and would do just about anything to hear them. Even if we are in the middle of the grocery store I will do a crazy dance just to see him crack a smile. I don't care, if people walk by and think "what a crazy lady" So what, I am crazy and PROUD of it!!! I have always wanted to be a fun mom. And I hope my Easton boy thinks that I am. Hopefully when he gets older he won't get too embarrassed of me.

I mean look at this face wouldn't do just about anything to see this face?

So my sweet Easton boy,You keep thinking mommy is too funny!!

Smells like rain.

I received an email from my sister-in-law that brought me to tears. It was such a beautiful story that I had to share with all of you. It strengthened my testimony of the love our father in heaven has for each one of us.

A cold March wind danced around the dead of night in Dallas as the doctor walked into the small hospital room of Diana Blessing. She was still groggy from surgery. Her husband, David, held her hand as they braced themselves for the latest news. That afternoon of March 10, 1991 , complications had forced Diana, only 24-weeks pregnant, to undergo an emergency Cesarean to deliver the couple's new daughter, Dana Lu Blessing.

At 12 inches long and weighing only one pound nine ounces, they already knew she was perilously premature. Still, the doctor's soft words dropped like bombs. 'I don't think she's going to make it,' he said, as kindly as he could.'There's only a 10-percent chance she will live through the night, and even then, if by some slim chance she does make it, her future could be a very cruel one'

Numb with disbelief, David and Diana listened as the doctor described the devastating problems Dana would likely face if she survived. She would never walk, she would never talk, she would probably be blind, and she would certainly be prone to other catastrophic conditions from cerebral palsy to complete mental retardation, and on and on.
'No! No!' was all Diana could say. She and David, with their 5-year-old son Dustin, had long dreamed of the day they would have a daughter to become a family of four. Now, within a matter of hours, that dream was slipping away.

But as those first days passed, a new agony set in for David and Diana. Because Dana's underdeveloped nervous system was essentially 'raw', the lightest kiss or caress only intensified her discomfort, so they couldn't even cradle their tiny baby girl against their chests to offer the strength of their love. All they could do, as Dana struggled alone beneath the ultraviolet light in the tangle of tubes and wires, was to pray that God would stay close to their precious little girl.

There was never a moment when Dana suddenly grew stronger. But as the weeks went by, she did slowly gain an ounce of weight here and an ounce of strength there. At last, when Dana turned two months old, her parents were able to hold her in their arms for the very first time.

And two months later, though doctors continued to gently but grimly warn that her chances of surviving, much less living any kind of normal life, were next to zero, Dana went home from the hospital, just as her mother had predicted.
Five years later, Dana was a petite but feisty young girl with glittering gray eyes and an unquenchable zest for life. She showed no signs whatsoever of any mental or physical impairment. Simply, she was everything a little girl can be and more. But that happy ending is far from the end of her story.

One blistering afternoon in the summer of 1996 near her home in Irving,Texas , Dana was sitting in her mother's lap in the bleachers of a local ball park where her brother Dustin's baseball team was practicing.

As always, Dana was chattering nonstop with her mother and several other adults sitting nearby when she suddenly fell silent.Hugging her arms across her chest, little Dana asked, 'Do you smell that?' Smelling the air and detecting the approach of a thunderstorm, Diana replied, 'Yes, it smells like rain.' Dana closed her eyes and again asked, 'Do you smell that?' Once again, her mother replied, 'Yes, I think we're about to get wet. It smells like rain.'

Still caught in the moment, Dana shook her head, patted her thin shoulders with her small hands and loudly announced, 'No, it smells like Him. It smells like God when you lay your head on His chest.' Tears blurred Diana's eyes as Dana happily hopped down to play with the other children. Before the rains came, her daughter's words confirmed what Diana and all the members of the extended Blessing family had known, at least in their hearts, all along.

During those long days and nights of her first two months of her life, when her nerves were too sensitive for them to touch her, God was holding Dana on His chest and it is His loving scent that she remembers so well.

I can do all things in Him who strengthens me' This morning when the Lord opened a window to Heaven, He saw me, and He asked: 'My child, what is your greatest wish for today?' I responded: 'Lord please, take care of the person who is reading this message, their family and their special friends. They deserve it and I love them very much' The love of God is like the ocean, you can see its beginning, but not its end. ANGELS EXIST but some times, since they don't all have wings, we call them FRIENDS.

you better believe it!!

My sweet chubs woke up this morning with a cold in his right eye. You know when their eye fills up with green goobies and is almost closed shut. Well lucky it wasn't closed shut but I did have to clean that sucker out good. I tried to call the Dr. to see what would be the best thing for my little guy and of coarse you can never get ahold of those silly Doctors to ask simple questions. So I was on the phone with my beautiful sister Mandi (who is on her way into town as we speak!! so excited feels like Christmas!) and I was telling her about chubs condition. She told me you don't need medicine. Squirt your milk in his eye. I was like ya I think I heard you say that before. (she has a story quite funny of a similar experience) She said get alot in there and kind of rub it. Good thing babies don't really remember things that happen this early in their lives. Otherwise this could have been quite the traumatic experience! So I followed her advice. I tried to squirt his favorite ninny dinner in his big baby blues. He didn't even fuss he just kind of layed there and looked up at me with a smile. (he does that alot, after all mommy is his favorite!) And I'm not even kidding it looked better after 5 min. no joke! So by tomorrow his eye will be back to normal. So moral of the story is: you better believe I would do anything to help my sweet chubs be happy and healthy. Even if it means I have to squirt some of my liquid gold in his beautiful blue eye!!! Liquid gold you ask? Yes you read right. Nursing milk is liquid gold. You see it serves so many purposes it nourishes your child and makes them get nice and chunky while also curing any disease. So I have changed my attitude towards these gifts from heaven. (I wasn't quite fond of how large the ladies grew and stretched to make room for that liquid gold but you see my kid is a chub and requires lots and lots of milk so I guess the more the merrier! Literally.)

Is my blog a shrine to my sweet chubs? Maybe so. But how can it not be when you have someone so good looking. I blog about my life, and my baby is just that. My ENTIRE life. Every waking moment is dedicated to taking care of this sweet thing! And I wouldn't have it any other way. Here are some of my favorites of my little guy getting so big.

Just too cute!

I'm baaaack!

So I have felt so disconnected from the blogging world. My computer decided to poop out on me so I couldn't even blog stalk!! What is a girl to do without her precious Internet? I know its a scary thought isn't it? Well on a lighter note, I'm back for those who have missed me if any. I have so many pictures I need to post of the cutest chubs in town. Yes that would be my Easton boy! So here are a few of my favorites dating all the way back from good Ole Christmas time. I know I know Christmas is long gone but better late than never right? So for all your blogging pleasure here he is. . .

As I was doing blasted laundry one day (i hate doing laundry!!!) I left the room to do another load and when I cam back to the room to my surprise my sweet baby was playing with this! Uh oh am I in for some trouble. Should I be worried? Easton this is not even your size.

I guess it is fun to chew on.

Christmas Eve p.s I got bangs for those who haven't seen them yet.

I had to buy this onsie I thought it was hilarious!

Easton boy on Christmas day, he loved playing with the wrapping paper. He didn't care too much about what was inside.
